On 4 August 2021. A few months later, on December 2, it will be 40 years on the music scene. Two occasions worth celebrating, because there is hardly a Bulgarian who does not know at least 3 songs performed by Veselin Marinov. Starting from the emblems "Bitter wine" and "For you, Bulgariya" and ending with "Summer yellow dress", "Wake up next to me" or "Pretty woman". And this summer was dedicated to concerts by the sea and many intimate meetings with the audience during the seaside tour "Penultimate Breath of Summer". For these 40 years on the stage Veselin Marinov has released 29 albums with favorite hits, most of them together with the music company "Piner". This fact makes him a record holder among his colleagues. He has performed thousands of concerts all over the country, the number of which nobody knows, but according to him, they were 7-8 a month before the pandemic closed us. Even during the quarantine, the artist experimented and did an internet concert.

The first performance in front of an audience that he remembers was before school. They put him on a stool at some celebration to sing the beautiful folk song "When I was a shepherd boy". As a seventh grader, the future pop singer became the drummer for a school band, then its lead singer and composer. He was admitted to the Conservatory, where he was noticed by the band "Impulse" and invited to become their vocalist in 1981. On 2 December of the same year was his first appearance with the band in Vidin and this date the singer considers the beginning of his professional career. He gave his first solo concert at the Sofia Opera House and even then dreamed of one day filling Hall 1 at the National Palace of Culture, which he did many times over the years. Moreover, on 30 November 2016, on the occasion of his 35th anniversary, Veselin Marinov gave a spectacular three-hour concert at Arena Armeec Hall in front of an audience of 13 thousand.
