Ivelina Koleva is one of the leading names of the new wave of folk singers, who is making a name for herself with new original folk music, in addition to her considerable repertoire of well-known folk songs and songs from other genres. She possesses a stable voice with a considerable range, has extensive stage experience, knows Bulgarian folklore perfectly, interprets each song magnificently and what is more - she herself creates wonderful songs that the audience sings and accepts as part of Bulgarian folklore. Ivelina Koleva Ivanova was born on 21 January in Dobrich.

She has been immersed in folk song since she was a little girl. At the age of 12 she started to study folk singing, and then graduated from secondary education in a music class with a profile "Folk singing" at the school "St. Kliment Ohridski", Dobrich. After the birth of her daughter Victoria, Ivelina Koleva stayed in Bulgaria and started working with the orchestra "Izvor", and in 2009 she signed a contract as an individual artist with the music company "Piner". Ivelina Koleva is a welcome guest at various celebrations and wedding receptions, and her performances extend beyond the borders of Bulgaria. She has performed in Switzerland, Turkey, Italy, Germany and more, and in 2019 she is undertaking a solo tour of the USA and Canada, where she will perform 13 impressive concerts. Throughout her professional career to date, Ivelina Koleva has about 40 songs in her repertoire, 37 of the tunes being solo. Over the years, Ivelina Koleva has increasingly established herself as a serious artist. She created the music and lyrics for 26 compositions. Apart from solo performances, her repertoire includes duets with her sister Preslava, the latest of which - "Mome Neveno" - entered YouTube trending days after its premiere. Ivelina Koleva has collaborated with Zdravko Mandadzhiev and Pepi Hristozova, and also performs popular and beloved hit titles, Bulgarian pop, Balkan folk, Greek, Serbian and Russian songs. In 2015, she became the winner of the "Folklore Performer of the Year" award, presented to her by Planeta TV.
