Geri-Nikol was born on 30 July 1998 in Varna. At the age of ten she played the lead role in the short Bulgarian film "Destiny", which was broadcast on NOVA, but there are no recordings. He enrolled at the music school in Varna. In the seventh grade he started singing and solfege lessons. She graduated first in the Pop and Jazz Singing class at the Dobri Hristov National School of Arts in Varna. For unknown reasons, Geri-Nikol left the music school and enrolled in the George Byron Music School in Varna, where she found better understanding and support from both classmates and teachers. She participated in two international festivals, one of which was Crystal Stars in 2013 in Romania and the other in Moscow in 2014. She came home with prizes but decided that this was not her place to perform. In the summer of 2014, the day before she turned 16, she auditioned for the reality show X-Factor and sparked interest with her first appearance, where she performed Beyoncé's Flawless and Fergie's A Little Party Never Killed Nobody. Shortly after, the jury decided that she would be part of the Sweet 16 group, along with Michelle Straminski and Christina Hristova. The girls formed the Sweet 16 group and went through training camps together at the judges' house and performed successfully at seven of the major concerts broadcast live on NOVA. The judges of the format were impressed by the performance of the three graces, and Maria Ilieva stated that their group was the most successful attempt and result for a girl band in our entire pop culture. In 2015, Ilieva began her solo career with the appearance of her debut song "Come and Get It", a duet with Crisco, and according to her personal website, the song has become one of the biggest hits of the summer and is being played by many radio stations. At the end of the year, the video for the song "Girl Like Me" was released. According to the singer's personal website, the video was watched by a record number of viewers on the Internet, but caused a scandal due to the State Agency for Child Protection asking the CEM to assess whether its content was obscene and stop it. CEM refused to consider the case due to lack of legal norms. In 2016, Geri-Nikol recorded the song I'm The Queen and later made an English version of it. She describes the song as feminist. On December 6, 2016, "Hot and Crazy" was released. On May 30, 2017, One Of A Kind was released, and on July 20, 2017, I'm Killing Them Straight, a duet with 100 kilos, was released. It is her most famous song with over 50 million views. Geri-Nicol released 2 songs in 2018. In the summer, the song "Above the Law" was released, which premiered on June 15 and has nearly 10 million views. She ends the year with the song "Lips". On May 17, 2019, her collaboration with The Edge Gang, "Boss, Boss", was released. On the last day of 2019, she releases a new duet song with 100 Kills, "Hold On Man", which has over 3 million views.
