She was born on 7 March 1979 in Radnevo in the family of a miner and a laboratory assistant. According to her official biography, her childhood was spent in different places: in the mining town of Galabovo, in the village of Pet mogili, where she lived with her grandparents after her parents' divorce, and then in Hisarya. At the age of 15 he returned to Galabovo to study at a technical school of energy. She finally settled in Dimitrovgrad, where her career began. She released her first album in 1996 with the Radnevo Orchestra. Despite the guidance of the folk singer Vulkana Stoyanova, she changed genre and signed a contract with "Piner". In 2000 she received an award for her hit "Men Want Everything", and the following year she left for Chicago, where she lived for some time. In 2002 he was back in Bulgaria and released the album "Mystery", and two years later he founded his own company and recorded with Azis. He came second in "VIP Brother 2" (2007). She has shown her talent for singing in other popular music genres outside of popfolk. In 2012, she was a favourite in the Bulgarian Eurovision Song Contest with the artistic name DESS, and in the semi-final she was ranked first by both the jury and the public with the song Love Is Alive, but lost in the final to Sofi Marinova and her Love Without Borders. In 2014 she succeeded Ivana and Preslava as a representative of the pop-folk genre in The Voice of Bulgaria-3, where she became a coach alongside Miro, Nasko from B.T.R. and Orlin Goranov. At the beginning of 2017, she participated in the fifth season of the star imitation show "Like Two Drops of Water". At the end of the summer, she announced that she was expecting a child from Olympic junior boxing champion Blagoy Naydenov, with whom she has been engaged for nearly two years. He also has a grown son, Mikey, who is now 17.
